Best way is go to broadway which is next stopping from central get bus from there.

you will get lots of bus from there to any part of chennai..

for Iyyapanthangal you have buses like 17M,11H,54, 254,88k,
vadapalani buses :: 17, 17E, 17K,(it goes till vadapalani from there you get another bus)
